Why purifyHair exists
We made the thing that should have existed already — a mist formulated for hair, without the alcohol that dries it out.
purifyHair started with a small annoyance. Between us we had a shelf of expensive bottles, and every one of them said the same thing on the back: alcohol denat., first ingredient after water. That's the ingredient that makes perfume flash off your skin in a bright opening burst — and the same one that leaves hair dry, dull and slower to hold colour.
People sprayed it into their hair anyway, because hair holds scent beautifully. It sits cooler than skin, so it releases fragrance slowly instead of all at once, and it moves, which is what puts a trail behind you. The instinct was right. The product was wrong.
So we made a mist formulated for strands rather than skin: no denatured alcohol, no sulfates, nothing that needs to strip hair to work. It's lighter than a perfume and it lasts differently — less of an opening, more of an afternoon.
We launched with two scents and we intend to keep it that way. One warm, one fresh. Both were tested on day-three hair, in real heat, by people who don't have time for a routine. If we ever add a third it will be because the first two couldn't cover something, not because a season changed.

What we hold to
- Formulated for hair, not borrowed from skin
- Every choice in the formula starts from how hair behaves — porous, cooler than skin, and easily dried out. That rules out the alcohol base most fragrance is built on.
- Two scents, not a catalogue
- A short range means we can keep both consistent batch to batch. Vanilla Girl is the warm one; After Rain is the clean one. Neither is going to be discontinued to make room for a limited edition.
- Honest about what it is
- It's a hair perfume. It won't repair split ends, it isn't a treatment, and it isn't dry shampoo. It makes your hair smell good for an afternoon without drying it out.
- Cruelty-free, and small enough to carry
- No animal testing on the mist or its ingredients. 50ml, because a bottle that lives in your bag gets used and a bottle that lives on a shelf doesn't.
